These are a sample of homes available in the 55+ neighborhoods in or near Myrtle Beach, but remember that the majority of communities and neighborhoods throughout The Grand Strand are primarily owned by retired people over 55 years of age.

You may also hear advertisements about retirement communities (55+ neighborhoods) where you can purchase a home for under $100,000 but what their advertisements do not say is that you will not own the land.  The manufactured homes sit on land you must pay a monthly lease fee to use.  If you have an interest in a home on leased land make sure the land can never be sold out from under you.
